The ICAS Foundation Additional Support Fund is only open to current ICAS Foundation programme participants. If you are a new applicant, please apply for support via our ICAS Foundation ‘Nurturing Talent’ programme first.”

Application Questions

1. Please tell us about the specific circumstances that have led you to submitting this Additional Support Fund application.
This could include details about an emergency that has arisen, or long-term challenges which are now unsustainable alongside your university studies, as well as the impact this financial need is having / will have on your university studies. You should also tell us about any steps you have taken to mitigate your financial need (such as employment or alternative funding applications) and why your awarded Foundation bursary is insufficient to support this need. Please include as much information as possible.

2. Please tell us specifically how you would use this funding, including any relevant financial details such as costs. You should provide as much detail as possible here.
You could include the amount quoted for an accommodation deposit or car repair, or the weblink for a proposed laptop purchase. Please note that general living cost applications will not normally be considered for students living at home with one or more parents.

3. Please provide any other information which would be helpful to the ICAS Foundation when assessing your Additional Support Fund application.

You can refer to any information you have previously provided to us via your student reports, or you can include new information about recent changes to your circumstances of which we are not yet aware.

4. Please confirm the estimated total of the costs specified in question 2. (This should not total more than £1,000.)

Submitting Your Application

Please ensure that you have fully completed all questions and provided as much information as possible to help us assess your application. We generally expect to confirm the outcome of your application no later than four weeks after all required information has been returned.
